I have no idea what you're talking about, but I know those verses. It encouraged me in my life because of the reminder that God sees all of me, and still loves me.
It doesn't sound good, all the rest of it, so I'm praying for God's will in all this situation. Godspeed!
Hard to argue with a single word of what you've said here, Unc. My prayers continue to be with the saints of PMBC, of FBC Lindale and all who have been wounded by this latest failure of the arm of flesh.
Your Hebrews sermon was fire! This is great follow up but I'm sorry for the heartache at the center of it. Redeemer is beyond blessed that you have come to Shepherd us!
The way I know this is an excellent post is that it’s beneficial even if one has no knowledge of the particular set of circumstances here. Well done, sir.
Brother thank you for sharing what the holy spirit illuminated in your heart, you are right on as I am sure many of us need to hear this same message often. May we continue preaching the gospel to ourselves as often as we seek to preach it to our fellow man.
We once walked away from a fractious church my husband was pastoring because of people doing wicked things. We refused to split the church, although a good number of people asked to go with us to start something new. So much anger! Our first assignment was to “sit still,” and we spent that first month in Scripture and prayer, grieving. The Lord worked a great deal in us as he told us to stay put - for 18 months! There were many things God provided during that time, from a boatload of frozen catfish to supernatural healing from a growth. We had signposts of grace while we waited on the Lord, listening carefully.
You’ve taken some big steps as the doors opened. May you understand the small moves and the large yieldings that he requires of you as you wait on him. Grace and peace.
Thank you brother for your honesty and humility. It’s so easy for us as believers to fall into the trap of condemnation and pride forgetting how easy it is for any of us to trip up. I’m reminded of the old song ‘It’s me oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer’. May we all grow in humility becoming increasingly like our Savior.
Excellent words of precaution for all of us here, brother. Thank you for the raw insight into your thoughts on this sad matter - we are all capable, may God give us each more wisdom and more humility and keeping from the same sins that occurred here.
Lord, have mercy. Church skandal / blow-up / splits are heartbreaking for all involved and the community as a whole. 😣❤️🩹🕰️ Always dredges up memories for me as a young believer back in the 1970's watching the adults go off the rails...
.....tearing a church up ♨️⛪✂️ from the inside: evangel-prot, RC or orthodox, is satan's go to.
I don't understand exactly what has happened here, but I don't need to. I need to pray for you, as you requested, and I will.

So heartsick for His church. I am praying for you, and for all of us.

Now there’s some hard truth. God has dealt with me in that scourging way. I hated it but I’m so glad He did. Praying.
I am praying for you, brother! This can’t be an easy time for you and your family. May the Lord be with you
Good word, brother. Well said.

A well -stated and refreshingly honest read compared to some others I have seen. Thank you. Prayers are being said.
