Something Is Already Starting
By Virgil Walker | Sola Veritas
Men are already stepping in.
“I’m in.”
That’s what I’m seeing.
There’s no long explanation behind it. Just a decision.
That matters because most men don’t make decisions like that anymore. They wait, they think about it, and they tell themselves they’ll come back to it later. Later rarely comes. Right now, something is beginning to take shape. A few men have decided they’re done sitting on the sidelines.
The question is whether you will.
What Happens on April 6
We begin on April 6.
At 7:00 PM EST, we meet live on Zoom. That first call is where the tone is set. You won’t get hype. You’ll get clarity. You’ll know exactly what this requires and exactly what you’re stepping into. That first call is where you decide whether you’re going to take this seriously.
After that, there’s no confusion about what comes next.
Each Monday, I’ll post a challenge for paid subscribers here on Substack. You’ll read it, then you’ll write. You won’t write to impress anyone. You’ll write to tell the truth. You’ll face where you showed up, where you didn’t, and where you’re still making excuses.
That’s where most men break down. Not because they don’t know what to do, but because they won’t slow down long enough to face what’s actually happening in their own lives.
At the end of thirty days, we meet again. We won’t talk about how it felt. We’ll talk about what changed.
What This Will Give You
The men stepping into this are not looking for another burst of inspiration. They’re looking for structure.
They already know something is off. They know the frustration of starts and stops. They know what it feels like to carry convictions that never seem to settle into daily habits. What they have been missing is a framework that forces them to act and a place where good intentions are no longer enough.
That’s what this gives you.
You’ll receive the Masculine Mandate, a downloadable, concise framework that lays out a daily rule of life you can actually follow. It is clear, direct, and removes the guesswork. You will know what to do, and you will have the opportunity to do it with purpose.
It won’t be perfect, and it won’t feel easy, but it will be clear. And clarity matters when you’re trying to break patterns that have been shaping your life for years.
I’m Not Asking You To Do Something I’m Not Doing
I won’t simply be observing or commenting from the outside.
I’ll be writing and answering questions.
I’ll be working through my own process in real time as I put together something I should have written a long time ago, the story I’m writing for my children. I’m trying to put it down with honesty and clarity. Not cleaned up for appearance. Not protected. True.
As I do that, I’ll show you what’s helping and what’s not. I’ll talk about how to begin when you don’t feel ready, how to keep going when the words don’t come easily, and how to stay with the process long enough for something meaningful to take shape.
Whether you’re writing your personal story, building something here on Substack, or trying to think more clearly about your own life, you’ll have something you can apply right away.
Rarely do you get the chance to stand alongside someone who is willing to do the work with you in real time. Not just talk about it, but do it. That matters.
This Is Bigger Than Thirty Days
This is not just an opportunity to do something for a month.
This is an opportunity to build something that will outlast you.
What you write, what you face, and what you finally put into words does not disappear when these thirty days are over. It remains. Your children may read it. Their children may read it. Other people may one day be helped by what you were willing to say honestly and clearly.
Most men leave very little behind. Not because they had nothing worth saying, but because they never made themselves sit down long enough to say it.
Don’t make that mistake.
God has allowed you to live what you’ve lived. You’ve seen things. You’ve learned things. You’ve failed in ways that taught you something real. You’ve grown in ways that matter. To keep all of that buried, to never put it down with honesty and clarity, is not humility. It’s neglect.
This is your opportunity to stop doing that.
This is your opportunity to face your life, write it honestly, and leave behind something with weight.
This Will Require Something From You
You will have to slow down long enough to tell the truth about your life.
You will have to name patterns you’ve ignored and confront areas where you’ve chosen comfort over responsibility. You will have to follow through on things you have started and abandoned more times than you care to admit.
No one is going to carry you through this. No framework can replace your willingness to engage it seriously. This is not for men who want to feel motivated for a day. It is for men who are ready to do the work when no one is watching.
If you don’t step into this, the next thirty days will likely look like the last thirty. The same patterns will remain. The same drift will continue. The same frustration will follow you into the next month.
If you stay where you are, nothing changes.
You need to decide whether you’re content with that.
A Word to the Women in This Community
This challenge is focused on men because the issue being addressed is the kind of drift and passivity I am calling them to confront directly. That focus is intentional.
At the same time, you will have access to the recordings, and I believe the clarity around discipline, structure, and responsibility will still serve you as you think about leadership in your homes and the men in your life.
The focus remains where it needs to be, but the benefit is not limited to one audience.
The Decision Is In Front Of You
Some men have already stepped in and said, “I’m in.”
Others are still watching.
If you want the next thirty days to be different, you have to do something different. If you want greater clarity, greater discipline, and something real to show for this season of your life, then step in now.
We begin on April 6.
At 7:00 PM EST, we start together.
Upgrade your subscription and be ready.
If you stay where you are, nothing changes.
If you step in, something might.
The decision is yours.
