I recently heard Vernon McGee (Thru the Bible Ministries) talking about the decline of civilizations, all throughout history, which he says happen in three stages. (1) Spiritual apostasy. (2) Moral awfulness. (3) Anarchy. I find myself pondering where we are on this spectrum. And also how do we followers of Christ remain faithful and live in such a time.
the world is in anarchy. 1 corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
That was so good! I wanted to understand what was fueling this movement, and now I do! I am 74 years old, and too many of my contemporary retired teacher friends have been sucked into this foolishness. I really do thank you so very much!
This madness will not last. The King holds the wicked in derision. Soon enough every knee will bow and tongue confess that Christ is King, though some will do it through weeping and gnashing of teeth. Thank you, brother, for speaking the truth.
Virgil, very real comment here. I know of a kind older Christian lady who went to the No Kings rally in the town where I live to protest what she perceived to be the cruelty of Ice. There are members of my PCA church and our sister churches (and other somewhat conservative congregations locally) who are appalled by what they are seeing Ice and this administration doing. (I am not saying I agree with their assessment- I do not. However there is a messaging problem inside of the church). Please look into this. I live in Lincoln NE. As you might know, a Lincoln is a huge hub for immigration resettlement, so that is in the church culture here, as we must help them and show justice and mercy (loving your neighbor, etc). I enjoy your podcast and SM pages. Thank you for your consideration.
This brought tears to my eyes. Every word, every sentence, everything written here is inspired by the Holy Spirit. Keep preaching my man. You are anointed!
I appreciate the clear thinking as you expose the lies of the devil and refute those who contradict the truth. Praise God for words firmly, fitly and unashamedly spoken Virgil. For the King!
Pastor Virgil, I do love your posts - so succinctly said. I agree with you on this ‘No king’ business - rejection of God and everything He stands for. I have seen it for years now where the world is rejecting our Creator, our King, and His authority, not only that but His protection, and even His provision as well. I see a world falling into utter ruin in every way possible and it’s happening at an unfathomable and exacerbating rate. It’s not only rejection of His authority, they also reject His provision destroying things like the food we eat - genetically modifying food or creating food loaded with emulsifiers - even lab grown meat all in effort to ‘save the planet’ and achieve Net Zero. The other day, I saw a video of how they can now make butter out of gas and they use emulsifiers to hold it together. We live in an era of a lot of fake food or altered food that our bodies were not designed for, and my body is a testimony to that and I’m not the only one who can attest to that. They say crop lands are ruined by GMO crops and or from chemicals used on crops for better yields. I see this huge picture of man arrogantly trying to be creators in their own minds by creating alternate ‘foods’. When we mess with what God has made we will deeply pay for it in some way. They even try to be healers advocating for things that are actually not good for our health. The world really tries to be its own creator and its own saviour and what they don’t know is how tragically they will fail - it is not, and never will be sustainable.
I think of 2 Peter 3:1-13.
I truly think that we are living in the last of the last days. It is spiraling out of control in every way and every day my heart cries, ‘Come, Lord Jesus, come!’ This world is not our home. I just want to go Home.

Always thankful for the continuing ministry of the late Dr. J. Vernon McGee. "And may God richly bless you, my beloved." Amen and Amen!
Dragged the 'No Kings' darkness out into the lbiblical ight with this Virgil. So appreciate your boldness and clarity.

Powerful well stated message. I will be sharing it. Thanks!

They say they want the kingdom,
But they don’t want God in it
Virgil, you are seriously misguided .

That sounds like a church problem. Solid Bible teaching and preaching will clear that up.

Been really enjoying your writing, Sir. Thank you.
Truth! Thank you! The KING reigns!

Excellent peace brother. Thank you
Glad to see others picking up on the real nature of the No Kings protests.
I personally didn’t write an article. Probably should.
But I did see through the ruse. Twice now.
Both times the protests came up, I dropped a post on my X page with a picture of Christ in crown and king’s robes and said “Here’s your King.”
To say they didn’t like it is an understatement. They hated it, showing the true nature of their resistance.
The same old lie really is at play. Humans want to be as gods, leftists especially.
they reject “the moral foundation that built the nation.”
you mean the nation that literally started with a No Kings Protest? the Revolutionary War?
