Thank you for this call to moral clarity in this age of delusion. I see so many professing believers being taken in by false narratives these days because they are listening to the completely wrong voices, and it is affecting and infecting their worldview of everything, from the present lawlessness and disorder to their stance on Israel. Shameful! Some of us need to be reading the Bible much more and listening to the rhetoric of those who are intent on promoting disorder, chaos and confusion far less. The Holy Spirit is not the author of any of these things.

It’s absolutely heartbreaking to see what is happening in our once peaceful nation 💔💔. But this is what happens when our Lord is punishing America for turning its back on Him.
I can’t really think of what’s happening today as punishment inflicted by God. We are living in a society where the majority of people want to be left to their own devices, as stated so perfectly by the Psalmist. God respects our free will. It’s part of His design for true redemption. We, the redeemed, cannot abandon the great commission - it is up to us to live for Christ no matter how strong the enemy appears to be. This IS his world after all. And it is tempting to sit smugly with the blessed assurance our salvation grants us. But that’s not what we are charged with. Meeting one soul exactly where it is and demonstrating the freedom of life with God by one’s side is obedience to what God has asked of us. That hasn’t changed - ever. And man’s fallen nature has not changed. The world today is filled with the desperate actions of people doing everything possible to find that fulfillment. We have to show them the way.
Great passage; but You don’t even have to get further than the opening verses of Isaiah 1. Government is never the answer; but it is a tool God has given us to advance His kingdom.

Millions of Westerners and Americans, having rejected their Creator imagine they are free, but have destroyed themselves.
They know they think and dream but because they imagine they are fleshy robots whose thoughts and dreams are of neurons and firing synapses they know that if the brain becomes damaged or dies they cease to exist, and this thought depresses them greatly, but they are free.
Others know they are conscious but do not know where consciousness comes from or what it is. So they accept it as something that emerged from matter worked on by evolution. Some transhumanists imagine consciousness is something that could save humanity from burning up with earth if only Mars could become conscious.
These dreary and terrible examples of lost humans wandering in darkness are further examples of God's Judgement when it looks like freedom.
"We pray because judgment is real, repentance remains possible, and delayed wrath is still mercy. We should pray for our liberal, leftist, lesbian neighbors with urgency rather than contempt, asking that they would wake up, repent of their sin, and seek Christ while there is still time (2 Peter 3:9)."
Oh how I pray exactly for this! LORD of all, who gives each of us our breath, I lift up to you ou neighbors, friends, family, churches and state and national leadership. Open their eyes, and ours, to the dangers we are headed for and are now almost upon. Shout at us! Shake us awake! Open our eyes and ears...and our mouths to see and hear and speak your truth with boldness and rejoicing! Your ways are indeed higher and better than ours.
Bind the evil spiritual forces that have lulled us into the false sense that "we" know best. Silence our foes, both seen and unseen. Let us be freed of the sins that have entangled us, and let us sing for joy because Jesus Christ is Lord of all!

Thanks for yet another fine exposition on where we are today and why. The enemy is very cunning and deceitful, as we are told Biblically. We are to be aware of the wiles of the devil and stand accordingly. We will not be many and it won’t be a popular stand, but it remains the narrow high road of sanity and clarity in the darkness all around us.
