Such great points Pastor Virgil. And this fits perfectly with the Hebrew defination of "Faith". Emunah. Emunah doesn't just mean believing, it means active trust, steadfast faithfulness, and a firm reliance on God. Amen
Thank you so much for this insight. It was humbling to read from a man’s viewpoint, and I was convicted about how life was likely in our marriage for my late husband who was such a godly and faithful man to his last breath. Thankfully as I read your post, God also helped me understand more about how to grow in and be more faithful in my walk with Him. Thank you again, this was a blessing! (Hopefully I can find this on X and share it.)
Pastor V- this was very much as the kids would say now “fire”. This had been my struggle for many years as a professional. Take this husband and put him in the same place but married to an unbelieving wife and amplify it that she was once a Jehovah’s Witness. I knew what the struggle was and fought hard against the “want of acknowledgement and reward” and knew humility was the path. Then two years ago reading Andrew Murray Humility it really him home when pondering Matt 6:4. It actually helped at work too. I hope this message helps a lot of husbands and wives know this is a part of life and their is a Savior who provides the path to rest, comfort, wisdom, endurance, and the ultimate knowledge oh how to love others- especially as we close up this week.
Amen. Our Pastor just preached on this very thing. Good article. I was there once but God's mercy and grace and His wonderful faithfulness to men kept me in the running, along with my wife, and my co-servants in ministry.
I suspect my husband has felt this way, but he remained faithful and responsible even if/when he did.

Excellent advice.
Doing what is right, even when you don't want to, because it is right can lead to unexpected blessing. Ask me how I know....
Excellent Pastor Virgil! Bonus with some of my very favorite verses in this article!
Thx Virgil. I needed this exact word today. 💝

Thank you for this article. Looking forward to that glorious day we will be rewarded by the one whose faith and love covers all our sins.
Been there. Was there for well over a decade.

Yes.
Amen! Praising God for all you faithful men who persevere in growing in godliness and greater obedience to Christ moment-by-moment, day-by-day…
